Approved Home Care Conducts Lunch-and-Learn at Baybrooke Village Care and Rehabilitation Center

John Bolin, our Client Manager, of Approved Home Care provided a well attended, recent in-service to the Social Workers, Department Head, and Therapy staff at Baybrooke Village Care and Rehabilitation Center, McKinney, Texas in the Stonebridge Ranch area.

Baybrooke Village & Rehab was awarded US News & World Report 2013 best in Nursing Homes and is a state of the art campus. John conducted a lunch and learn for the wonderful staff and Department Heads who packed the meeting to learn more about our Stroke Recognition, Dementia Care, and Fall prevention programs for patients who will be discharging soon. The staff was very attentive and enjoyed learning how Baybrooke and Approved Home Care can partner together and work to connect senior patients with our services before they discharge out of Baybrooke, so the transition back home is seamless.

Approved catered a wonderful grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing while discussing our specialized programs of taking the extra step in caring for seniors and elderly in McKinney, Plano, Dallas, Allen, Frisco and surrounding cities. Zack McConnell, our Owner, said the facility at Baybrooke is beautiful and the staff is very professional. Approved offers specialized care for senior patients as they discharge from Baybrooke Village Care and Rehab. We can also remind our patients to continue working on the physical therapy exercises shown to them at the facility, which improves patient care at home.

We highlighted our new Dementia program that is nationally recognized provided by our highly skilled nurse aids and CNA’s on our staff. Approved Home Care provides Baybrooke Village & Rehab a customized plan of care for patients who do not want to move into a nursing home or prefer to move back home after discharging from Baybrooke. We assist elderly who need in home care in North Dallas and surrounding areas with a qualified home caregiver for a few hours of care, or up to live-in care, including Hospice patients. Some patients are ready for discharge from Baybrooke, but are not ready to live alone, and still need care upon going home. Our staff at Approved Home Care conducted a lunch and learn with the social workers at Baylor Hospital, McKinney, Texas this past week.

Zack McConnell, our owner, was able to discuss with the Social Workers and Case Managers at Baylor to educate the departments about our in home care services, while eating a grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing catered by Approved Home Care.

Zack spoke with them about our dual discharge program and they raved about his succinct ability to present to a hungry crowd of busy Case Managers the information they needed to make a referral from Baylor to Approved. When Jill hired home care services for her mother, she didn’t know what to expect. Her mother understood that she needed some level of care at home, that she was struggling with certain aspects of her own basic care. The problem was that neither of them talked about just how much care she required.
