If you’re looking for some fun activities for your elderly loved one to do with some of your family members, National Guacamole Day could be part of a really fun activity centered on food. And who doesn’t like fun activities highlighted by delicious food?
Games to play on guacamole day
- Put some pebbles in the bottom of some empty water bottles and arrange them on a table or floor. Use the seeds from your avocados, which have been washed and dried, to throw at the pins (the water bottles) and knock them over. You can have each pin be worth a certain number of points. Practice before playing to determine the right amount of pebbles to use as weights in the bottom of each bottle.
- Play some guac ‘n roll (rock and roll) music to go with your activities
- Serve a guacamole bar. Make several different recipes of guacamole and have bowls of veggies, chips and crackers for dipping. Let guests dish up onto their plates and enjoy the guacamole party.
